What happened to Green Apple Cases?
In 2007, Computer Harmony developed a revolutionary plastic case developed with a new type of biodegradable plastic. We originally developed the product as a proof-of-concept application in reaction to hearing about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Pacific_Garbage_Patch).
Unlike normal plastic, the special plastic-like material used in Green Apple Cases would biodegrade 90% after spending 80 days in a compost environment. Although the actual decomposition time of normal plastic is controversial, it is much, much longer than the material used in Green Apple cases.
In 2010, Computer Harmony decided cease production of Green Apple Cases in order to expand the overall scope of the project. We are continuing our research and design of new products to better utilize earth-friendly plastic.
